Constructive

Terms of service

What Constructive does, what it does not do, and who contracts with whom.

These terms are in preparation. The sections below describe how the platform actually works and are written in plain English. They have not yet been reviewed by UAE counsel, and the clauses a complete agreement requires — governing law, jurisdiction, liability, indemnities and dispute resolution — are deliberately not drafted here rather than guessed at. Questions to legal@constructive.ae.

What Constructive is

Constructive is a platform that connects homeowners in Dubai with contractors, and puts contractor responses into a common structure so they can be compared. It is operated by Constructive FZE LLC.

Constructive is not a party to your contract

Any agreement for work is between the homeowner and the contractor directly. Constructive does not supervise, inspect, manage or certify works, does not set prices, does not define scope, and is not a contractor.

We take no commission on work agreed through the platform, and we never mark up contractor pricing.

Under legal review. Whether this characterisation is sufficient to establish intermediary status under UAE law, and what must be added to it.

What verification means, and what it does not

We verify that a contractor holds a valid UAE trade licence and current liability insurance, that their company details are accurate, and that their portfolio represents genuine completed work. We review documents and contact references.

Verification is not a guarantee of workmanship, timeliness or price. It confirms legitimacy at the point of onboarding. Homeowners should satisfy themselves as to a contractor's suitability and should agree written terms directly with them.

Under legal review. Alignment of this wording with the disclaimer required by docs/10 §3, which counsel must approve as a single form of words used everywhere.

Using the platform

You must give accurate information, must not post work you do not intend to commission, and must not use the platform to contact people for any purpose other than the project in question.

Contractors must keep their licence and insurance current. A contractor whose documents lapse is removed from the directory until they are replaced.

Fees

The platform is free for homeowners. Contractors pay a single fee only when a homeowner shortlists them for detailed pricing; the amount depends on the project's value band and is published on the pricing page. There is no subscription and no commission.

Under legal review. Refund and credit mechanics, and whether the 48-hour decline window needs to be expressed as a contractual right.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you upload. You give us permission to display it where the platform needs to — a portfolio on a public contractor profile, project photographs to the contractors you are engaging.

How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy notice.

Ending your account

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or remove an account that breaches these terms, and will say why.

Under legal review. Notice periods, the effect of termination on live projects, and retention obligations on closure.

Liability, governing law and disputes

To be completed on legal review.

Under legal review. Not drafted. These clauses require UAE counsel and are the reason this page is not yet a complete agreement.
